Rihanna has chosen an enchanting name for her newborn baby, Riot Rose, and it appears to be inspired by her boyfriend’s love for flowers. The 35-year-old pop icon already shares a 16-month-old son, RZA Athelston Mayers, with rapper A$AP Rocky. The couple welcomed their second child in August, and insiders have shed light on the floral-themed name.

According to a source speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight,’ A$AP Rocky has a deep affection for flowers. He enjoys having fresh flowers in their home, adorns their living spaces with flowers, and has even incorporated real flowers into his grill design.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s son, Riot, was born at Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai Hospital at 7:41 a.m. on August 1st, although his arrival was not reported until two days later. Speculation arose that the name “Riot” might have been inspired by a track released by A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) and Pharrell Williams titled ‘Riot’ earlier in the year.

Their first son, RZA, pays tribute to the producer and rapper RZA, leader of the Wu-Tang Clan (real name Robert Fitzgerald Diggs), and also nods to A$AP Rocky’s middle name.

Rihanna has expressed that she now feels her family is complete with the addition of her second child. An insider shared with People magazine that “Rihanna feels her family is now complete. It’s something she’s always wanted.”

The ‘Umbrella’ singer has previously celebrated motherhood as “legendary” and revealed how it has transformed her life. She no longer identifies with her pre-motherhood existence, describing the profound impact of becoming a parent. Rihanna expressed that life before her children feels distant and almost unrecognizable because motherhood has become her central focus and source of fulfillment.
