Babar Azam Scandal: Babar Azam Sexting Scandal – The Pakistan captain Babar Azam is in serious trouble for allegedly sending text messages to the girlfriend of a teammate. Babar Azam allegedly sent obscene messages to the girlfriend of a fellow Pakistani cricketer in a video that was leaked. The video also depicts Babar assuring the girl that the Pakistani cricketer will remain on the team if she continues to text him. While the video and its source have yet to be verified, a large number of Babar’s supporters have deemed the video to be fabricated. InsideSport.IN provides LIVE updates on Pakistan Cricket.
On Monday, a specific Twitter user named Dr. Nimo Yadav tweeted a leaked video. However, the video’s veracity remains questionable.
“Babar Azam’s sexting with the girlfriend of another Pakistan cricketer and promising her that her boyfriend won’t be kicked off the team if she continues to sext with him is justified. I hope Allah is watching all of this,” read the tweet.

This is not the first time a cricket has been captured during honey trapping. A sexting scandal prior to the Ashes 2021 forced former Australia captain Tim Paine to resign as captain. Since then, Paine has not played for Australia in any matches. In addition, he took a sabbatical after the incident.
Babar is already under considerable pressure for losing the Tets and ODI series against England and New Zealand, respectively. Already there are rumours of a leadership change in Pakistan cricket. Without Ramiz Raja at the helm, Pakistan is already considering a reorganisation.
The PCB will evaluate Babar Azam’s captaincy: New PCB management has expressed a desire to communicate to players and coaches their willingness to challenge the status quo if necessary.
It has not been ruled out that a challenge of this nature could fracture the Pakistan captaincy across formats. It may force Babar Azam out of the captaincy in at least some game formats. The current PCB administration established the interim selection committee, which is itself a temporary arrangement. The head coach of the national men’s team, Saqlain Mushtaq, is expected to resign when his contract expires in February.
