More than a dozen shared bank hubs to be rolled out across the country in bid to defend entry to money

More than a dozen shared banking hubs will be rolled out across the country as a part of a bid to defend entry to money.

Continued department and money level closures have raised issues that tens of millions of individuals might be reduce adrift from important native banking providers. 

The hubs, run by the Post Office, permit clients of any bank to withdraw cash, pay payments and deposit cheques freed from cost in a single High Street retailer.

Another 13 places have been earmarked across the UK, together with 4 in Scotland and the first in Northern Ireland, in Kilkeel. 

This brings the whole variety of deliberate hubs to 25. But of the first 12 areas recognized, solely two have opened.

The Cash Action Group and ATM community Link, overseeing the initiative, say the different ten hubs are due to open inside months.

Natalie Ceeney, chair of the Cash Action Group, says the two current hubs are rising in reputation and offering a lifeline for customers and small companies.
