Twitter shareholders have accredited Elon Musk’s £38billion buyout – regardless of the entrepreneur attempting to wriggle out of the deal.

Investors within the social media large backed Musk’s offer in a vote yesterday.

This will come as a blow to the Tesla boss, who initially made an offer for Twitter in April however has since tried to drop it, claiming bosses misled him in regards to the variety of ‘bots’ and spam accounts on the positioning.

Twitter has denied Musk’s claims, and has sued him in an try and drive the deal to go forward. Musk is counter-suing, and a trial is ready for October 17.

Meanwhile, Twitter whistleblower Peiter Zatko, its former head of safety, gave proof to US lawmakers yesterday claiming the corporate is ‘deceptive the general public’ about how safe it’s. 

In his testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Zatko painted Twitter as an organization prioritising income above all else.
