Thursday, December 15, at the Havens Auditorium, the Indiana University Kokomo School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions (SNAHP) honored more than 60 healthcare professionals who will graduate in December 2022.

Seven Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) graduates were honored, along with 41 traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates, ten sophomores, and four RN to BSN graduates.

Dean Susan Hendricks, Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Christina Downey, and Associate Dean for Pre-Licensure Track Carolyn Townsend all said nice things about the winners.

Clinical Liaison April Mouser said that the faculty was proud to have them as coworkers. She also said that their knowledge and skills helped them build careers that they could do for the rest of their lives, no matter where they were.

“Nursing is about touching lives, and your life, by the way, touches your life,” Mouser concluded. “It is my hope that you will find the field of nursing that ignites the passion of your soul.” “May you never lose your love of nursing, your desire to serve, and your commitment to nursing excellence.”

For their advanced degree, MSN students take part in a veil ceremony, while BSN students get a lapel pin.

Maria Ramos Hernandez, Gabby Killebrew, and Reggie Manuel were the student representatives.
