If you speak Italian, you will understand that centodieci means “110.” And if you are familiar with Bugatti’s history, you will recognize this as the model name of the legendary Bugatti EB110 from the early 1990s. The EB110 was the definitive supercar of its generation, and Bugatti aims to reach these heights with this new model. Possibly, with 1,600 horsepower behind the driver, a retro-futuristic design, and exceptional performance levels, the manufacturer has achieved this. The Bugatti Centodieci is also the most expensive vehicle of 2022, with a price tag exceeding $13.1 million.
More about the most expensive vehicles this year: classic models
For a number of years, the asking price for exemplary classic automobiles in pristine condition with impeccable provenance has been in the millions of dollars. They represent a specific subset of the most expensive automobiles in the world. Although they lack the performance to compete with Bugatti or Rimac, they still possess a tremendous amount of style and sophistication, which is more important to some buyers. Recent reports indicate that a car was recently sold for a price that will undoubtedly remain unmatched for many years. Mercedes Museum recently sold the 1955 Mercedes 300SL Uhlenhaut Coupe (one of only two ever built) to an undisclosed private buyer for $142 million.
