On Wednesday, eight victims of gunshot wounds were discovered in an Enoch residence.

During a welfare check, officials from Enoch discovered five minors and three adults fatally shot in the 4900 block of Albert Drive. The municipality stated in a press release that no suspects were at large and that there was no public threat.

Officials from a small town north of Cedar City intend to provide additional investigation details at a later date. In response to this news, Utah Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson tweeted her condolences. She expressed her sorrow by saying, “I’m praying for them tonight.” Enoch’s community was the victim of a tragic event.

On January 4, 2019, two adults and five children were killed when officers from the Enoch City Police Department entered a home at 4900 North Albert Drive. Trauma was listed as the cause of death for everyone in the house, according to a press release. This block of Albert Drive is located in the northern portion of Enoch City, and eight people died at this address that day.

The police department believes that no suspects are currently at large. They also do not perceive an imminent threat to the public. The investigation is still ongoing, and additional details will be forthcoming.
