Guard Victoria Tune suspected of serving to teenagers escape detention middle
A Louisiana safety officer is suspected of serving to three teen inmates escape from a youth detention middle Saturday.
The escape comes two weeks after a jail boss in neighboring Alabama helped a convict go lacking for 11 days earlier than shooting herself dead as police closed in on the pair, who had been concerned in a relationship.
The Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that it was notified shortly earlier than 7 a.m. that the three inmates, all serving time for felonies, broke out of the Ware Youth Detention Center in Coushatta, Louisiana. The facility is about 40 miles south of Shreveport within the northwest nook of the state, and about 50 miles from the Texas border.
“Oncoming day shift staff found that three male juvenile residents, with assist from a feminine WYC safety guard, had escaped the juvenile detention facility roughly 4 hours earlier,” the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook.
The publish mentioned that video surveillance captured safety guard Victoria Tune, 21, driving the three teenagers from the detention middle in a white 2010 Pontiac G6 with a Louisiana license plate and a lacking rear bumper.
The escapees are TyJuan Lafitte, 17, serving time for first-degree tried homicide; Jeremiah Durham, 17, serving time for armed theft, and 15-year-old Na’Varaya Lane, for tried second-degree homicide.
All three had been sporting orange jumpsuits once they fled. The path they traveled was not clear.
A warrant was issued for Tune in reference to the escape.
“For people who find themselves near Tori, know that that is fully out of character for her,” a lady named Amber Tilly wrote in response to the sheriff’s publish.
“Instead of leaping to conclusions so shortly, give the authorities and the households who’re concerned sufficient time to collect all of the information. I grew up along with her so I’m very assured once I say that that is very out of character for her.”
Multiple others agreed with the remark. The characterization echoed statements by those that knew Vicky White, the embellished jail boss in Alabama who went on the lam with inmate Casey White in a case that ended with the inmate recaptured and Vicky White dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Monday.
