Rathkeale violence: The Minister for Justice paid a visit to Limerick and promised more resources for the area. A follow-up video showed several damaged vehicles and what appeared to be a number of knives left on the road nearby.

On Tuesday night, the Minister of Justice walked through the streets of Rathkeale to show his support for the people who wanted more police in the area to stop the feud. Harris stated that Rathkeale would receive additional GAR resources to combat feuding factions.

He vowed that those who participated in the violence would face prosecution: “No part of the country is exempt from the law.”

Harris talked to the head of the Limerick Garda Division, Chief Superintendent Derek Smart. He said that more resources had already been given to the local gardai to help them keep the growing tensions in the town under control.
