Deepika Padukone was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on January 5, 1986, to the world-famous Indian badminton player Prakash Padukone and the travel agent Ujjala Padukone. Ramesh, Deepika’s paternal grandfather, was also involved in badminton and served as the secretary of the Mysore Badminton Association. Anisha Padukone, her younger sister, is an avid golfer.

She received her education from Sophia High School in Bangalore, where she was raised after arriving as a one-year-old infant. Deepika spent her entire youth and a substantial portion of her adulthood in Bangalore. She also completed her pre-university education at Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. She later enrolled at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, but she was unable to juggle that with her modelling career, so she decided to end it.

Deepika Padukone was not only fond of badminton from the time she was a child, but it was the sole focus of her life back then.
