Nova Scotia Liberals received the most political donations in 2021

HALIFAX – Nova Scotia’s Liberal celebration received the most donations of any political celebration in the province in 2021, gathering about $1.16 million.

The governing Progressive Conservatives, who took energy in August 2021, received the second-highest quantity, with about $802,000, says an Elections Nova Scotia report launched Thursday.

Nova Scotia’s New Democratic Party received the third most donor {dollars}, with $651,500.

Elections Nova Scotia releases the names of donors who gave greater than $200 to a political celebration between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31. The province caps donations from people at $5,000.

The Liberals had the most reported donors of any celebration, with about 1,250 folks giving greater than $200 to the celebration, with a median reported donation of $783.

Nova Scotia’s NDP had the second-highest variety of donors that gave greater than $200, with about 1,030 donors who gave a median of $510 every.

The PCs had been third with 740 reported donors, who gave a median sum of $950.

Nova Scotia’s Green celebration collected about $25,500 in donations, and the Atlantica Party received about $6,900.
