A witness to a fatal automobile crash that killed a teenage driver has described the horrific scene as the sufferer’s mom screamed in anguish.
The pink Toyota Yaris smashed right into a tree on Somerset Drive in Mudgeeraba, on the Gold Coast, after leaving the highway round 9.15pm on Saturday.
The 18-year-old driver died at the scene whereas a 17-year-old passenger was rushed to hospital and one other 17-year-old boy was unhurt.
A neighborhood who was considered one of the first witnesses at the scene heard the automobile hit the tree close to her house and ran outdoors in direction of the wreckage.

‘There was a large bang and I ran out onto the highway and noticed the smoking wreckage,’ she advised the Courier Mail.
She defined how the Yaris was ‘totally wrapped round the tree’ and that the two teenage passengers exited the automobile quickly after the crash.
‘There was blood throughout the entrance seat and the two male passengers climbed out of the automobile and have been in full shock. They sat on the median strip dazed and confused,’ she mentioned.
The automobile was making a loud whirring sound as the driver, who was nonetheless alive at this level, had his foot nonetheless pressed on the accelerator.
The witness ran again inside her house and instantly phoned for an ambulance.
Upon returning to the crash scene, she heard a scream from a girl who was revealed to be the boy’s mom.
‘She was simply yelling no, no, no again and again. I assume it was the boy’s mom. The one who died,’ she mentioned.
The sufferer’s mother and father returned to the scene on Sunday, sweeping up glass from the windshield and placing down flowers.
The witness mentioned she noticed ‘eight or 9 crashes at the similar spot’ since residing on Somerset Drive, together with one crash the place a driver plowed by means of her fence.
