According to the Bills, Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest after being hit by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. He stood up after the tackle but promptly collapsed.

Beal says that Hamlin’s “heartbeat returned on the field, and he was taken to UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment.”
