A man who may have been armed with a firearm was apprehended shortly after 7 p.m. at the Five Guys restaurant. He tried to get into the room through the closed door.

Police continue to clear the area, including Target and the movie theater. As of yet, no fatalities have been confirmed. The following articles have already been covered: The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is investigating after shots were fired Tuesday evening at Ward Parkway Center.

At this time, no victims have been reported. At the moment, there is only criminal property activity. Businesses are required to close their doors. Employees are reportedly being kept in their stores for their own safety. At 6:45 p.m., shots were fired. Ward Parkway Center’s address is 8600 Ward Parkway. It is located between State Line Road and Ward Parkway, south of W. 85th Street. The mall’s shopping district stretches all the way south to W. 89th Street.

Police were called to the center after someone reported a possible shooter inside T.J. Maxx. Employees at that location, on the other hand, said it’s business as usual.

The glass is shattered on the shopping center’s eastern side, near the PetSmart entrance. There are bullets embedded in the wall.

This is the only crime scene in the area right now.

As people try to leave the mall, there is a long line of traffic. Obviously, the holiday season is a very busy time for shopping.
