The MMS video of Lavani dancer Gautami Patil that was leaked online has gone viral on social media. Following the leak of the private video, another video of Patil performing the Lavani dance has gone viral.
Unidentified individuals filmed Patil while she changed clothes at an event.
A first information report (FIR) has been filed under Section 354-C of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and pertinent sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act.
Rupali Chakankar, the chairperson of the Maharashtra Women Commission, stated that the commission has requested that the police “announce an action programme to prevent cyber crimes against women.”
